The following international and Finnish companies impressed us with their business ideas and proposals: Smartmile, Team Paykey, Tap2Pay, Weps, Curl, Feedbackly, Zencard, Boxmesh, Shiptheory, Shipitwise, Teller and Rapitag.

“Excellent mix of fresh and eager minds”

The chosen startups are experts in one of the following fields:  omnichannel analytics and customer loyalty, PSD2 payments and credit, logistics, inventory and delivery management, and new channels for commerce (AR/VR/Chat).

“The TOP12 companies are innovative global grade startups for disrupting consumer’s digital shopping journey starting from purchase environment via payments up to last mile delivery. They are an excellent mix of fresh and eager minds for helping OP to push Finnish retailers to global level on the competition on digitalization of commerce”, says Perttu Kröger (Director, Commerce, New Business).

Innovation Challenge Week Oct 16-19

During the Innovation Challenge week, all 12 teams will meet in OP’s Headquarters in Helsinki on October 16-19 to experience an intense 4-days event engaging highly-qualified mentors and corporate partners (Digia Plc, K-Group/Kesko, and Posti).

Startups will learn the ins-and-outs of the Finnish market and prepare a killer MVP proposal. Out of the 12 startups participating in the Innovation Challenge week, 3-5 with the best MVP proposals will be selected to take part in the 4 months long Smart Commerce program.

“We have an exciting week ahead of us and will do everything we can to empower and enable the teams to make the best possible proposals and pitches”, according to Head of OP Lab, Kristian Luoma.
